Locations
Managing locations
The list: views, columns, search, filters and bulk actions.
Locations is the list of every place on your locator — a table you can search, filter, sort, reshape and save as a view.
Active and draft
Every location is either Active or Draft. Only active locations appear on the storefront, so a draft is how you prepare a store that has not opened, or take one down without deleting its details.
The tabs above the table — All, Active, Draft — carry a count each, so you can see at a glance how many are hidden.
Searching and filtering
The search box does two things at once.
Type to search text. It matches on name and address, so tulsa or main st
narrows the list as you type.
Or add a filter. Click the box and a menu opens, grouped into your filter categories, your custom fields and the location's own fields. Choose one and pick a value, and it becomes a chip: State is Oklahoma. Add as many as you need — they narrow together — and keep typing text alongside them.
A few things worth knowing:
- Choosing a value closes the menu; clicking the box opens it again.
- Typing free text hides the menu, so it never covers what you are reading.
- Backspace in an empty box removes the last chip.
- The status dropdown beside the box is the same as the tabs.
Columns
Edit columns opens a drawer with two lists.
Shown is the table, in order. Drag a column by its handle to move it — the table reorders as you drop it, with no save step.
More columns is everything else you could add, grouped: your filter categories, your custom fields, and the location's own fields. Tick one and it joins the bottom of Shown.
Reset puts the table back to the columns it started with.
Some fields are deliberately not offered as columns — the second address line, the individual social channels, each day of the week — because a table of them is unreadable. They are all on the location itself.
Sorting and paging
Click a column heading to sort by it, and again to reverse it. Below the table, 20, 50 or 100 rows per page.
Saved views
A view remembers everything about the table: the columns and their order, the sort, the filters, the search text, the status and the page size.
- Save as makes a new view from the table as it stands.
- Changing anything marks the view as unsaved; Save writes it back.
- Views are shared with everyone who uses the app on your shop, so "Stores needing photos" is a list your whole team can open.
Bulk actions and more actions
Tick the rows you want and the table offers Delete. Deleting is permanent — set a location to draft instead if you might want it back.
More actions holds the rest:
| Action | What it does |
|---|---|
| Import | Add locations from a CSV or spreadsheet — see Import & export |
| Remove duplicates | Find locations that are the same place — see Removing duplicates |
| Export XLSX / Export CSV | Download every location in the importer's own columns |
Opening a location
Click any row. Everything a location holds is on that page — see A single location.
